For students
A year of Cook Basic, free
If you're studying, you can have Cook Basic free for 12 months. No card, and it doesn't turn into a paid plan at the end.
What you get
- Sync across the Cook Editor, the CLI and the iOS and Android apps
- Batch import from Paprika, Mela, Mealie and other recipe apps
- Recipe imports from photos and from YouTube, TikTok and Instagram
- Nutrition data for your own projects through our MCP server, for Cursor, ChatGPT or any MCP-capable agent
CookBot, the AI meal planner, isn't included. That's Cook Pro.
How to claim it
- Create a Cook account. Sign in with the email you want to use. If it's new to Cook, you'll be asked to register.
- Email me at [email protected]. Tell me the email of your Cook account and where you study. Send it from your school or university address if you have one. If you don't, attach something that shows you're enrolled, like a student ID or an enrollment letter.
- I switch your account to Basic. I do this by hand, usually within a couple of days, and reply when it's done.
The small print
- One free year per student.
- After 12 months your account goes back to the free plan. I'll email you before that happens. You can subscribe to Basic then if you want to keep it, but you don't have to.
-
Your recipes are plain-text
